In Bangladesh, each Bank Branch has been allotted a 9 digits unique code. This 9 digits code is called Bank Branch Routing Number. First 3 digits from left of the Routing Number depicts the Bank Code, Next 2 digits, digit 4 and 5 from left. depicts District Code, digits 6-8 from left depicts Branch Code and digit 9 from left / first from right is check digit, which ensure the correctness of the routing number.
